Proudly supporting Fulton Hogan Canterbury www.kerbco.co.nz | 027 212 2880 | scott@kerbco.co.nz The awards evening also provided an opportunity for key staff involved in each of the projects, along with clients, key contacts and other managers from within the Fulton Hogan team to celebrate their achievements in what was a very interesting and rewarding evening. Based in Hornby, the team at Fulton Hogan – Canterbury’s regional office, is supported by branches in Ashburton, Timaru and West Coast, undertaking traditional roading, drainage and civil infrastructure projects from the Waitaki River, through to the edge of Kaikoura and over to the West Coast. “We also get involved in supporting our other Fulton Hogan regions across the South Island, as we need to,” says Philip. “Our civil infrastructure projects range from horizontal construction projects anywhere from the Lyttelton Port to the Christchurch airport, or roading projects for the Christchurch City Council and Waka Kotahi. “We do rail projects, and a range of electrical projects including installing traffic lights. We also have a number of quarries and manufacture our own aggregate as well as sell it to the market. We have asphalt and bitumen plants and do a huge amount of surfacing work. “We even own a signs and graphics business where we manufacture roading and commercial signage that is sold and installed across New Zealand. Engaging local sub-contractors to deliver work packages as part of the larger project team is a key success factor for a Tier One civil contractor like Fulton Hogan. “We also have a lot of contractors who buy aggregate and asphalt off us. So as part of the supply chain we have a lot to do with other local businesses, but equally engage a lot of local businesses, including engineers and design consultants.” Philip says while the company’s success is to do with its vertical supply chain, it also has much to do with the attitude and culture of its people who are focused on delivering high quality solutions for its customers. “Building relationships is massive and it is the culture and values and doing the right thing for our customers and ourselves, and all the people we deal with that makes the difference.” Call us on 0800 JCL NOW (0800 525 669) today for a quote Asphalt, Chipseal and Construction Specialists DRIVEWAYS TENNIS COURTS CARPARKS SUB DIVISIONS ROADING CONSTRUCTION & PREPARATION WORKS JCL Asphalt www.jclasphalt.co.nz Servicing: Canterbury, Cromwell, Wanaka and Queestown.
