It’s the place to be.” Fulton Hogan has plenty of work underway in the region and Anna says the market remains buoyant with a range of projects. Fulton Hogan holds the roading maintenance Network Outcome Contract (NOC) for Waka Kotahi and is currently completing rock bolting work to stabilise rock to improve road user safety at the Nevis Bluff on State Highway 6 about midway between Cromwell and Queenstown. It is also working on abutment strengthening maintenance work in the Makarora area in particular the bridges over Pipson Creek, Warf Creek, Muddy Creek and Flaxmill Creek. Due soon for completion is the SH6/ SH8B Cromwell intersection improvements, which saw a roundabout built to improve safety and reduce crashes at the busy intersection in Cromwell, as well as the Wooing Tree roundabout and underpass.
