They ask if the house-and-land packages are just for the land, but they are for the house and the land and they can’t believe it.” T T to page 92 Despite a quiet construction market over the past year, Absolute Homes has been bucking the trend, and in the past 12 months the firm’s team has grown from 14 to 22. “The majority of our clients come from referrals, which is real testament to the quality of our builds and service,” says company marketing coordinator Jade Jenkins. The other factor in the equation driving growth has been the boom in popularity of Darfield. After releasing a number of houseand-land packages to the market recently, they were all snapped up. “We are seeing incredible activity in Darfield, which we’ve never seen before. Jade says other added attractions of Darfield for purchasers are mountain views, a family- oriented community and excellent amenities, including medical facilities, a library, supermarkets, and retail stores. The Darfield Bakery has become a local landmark, and the town offers good educational options, including Darfield High School and several primary and pre-schools. Absolute Homes has built a number of homes in Kersey Park in Darfield, and is now focusing on offering house-and-land packages in Torlesse Estate, which is located right next door. Sites are around 650sqm, and seven house-and-land packages will be released by Absolute Homes in stage 11 this year.
