The project features impressive exterior timber detailing, from the custom garage door to the louvred privacy screen, seamlessly integrated within the cladding, creating a warm, cohesive finish. Part of the house is clad in macrocarpa sourced from trees over 50 years old from builder Craig Smith’s family farm where he grew up. The timber was also milled locally, creating a unique and personal feature with a reduced carbon footprint. Inside the home, the high-end quality continues with a beautifully detailed kitchen, bathrooms, and custom joinery that elevate the overall design. The 230sqm property is within walking distance to cafes, schools, and other amenities, while the back section ensures privacy. Craig says they built the house as part of a larger project on subdivided land with a range of potential clients in mind. He says Matt from MAS architecture floated the idea of creating an upstairs main suite, which as builders they hadn’t considered. “The upstairs space creates privacy from the rest of the house.
