T T Kelly Deeks Projects recognised with four awards “We’re proud to have delivered on their goals through the dedication, skill, and collaboration of everyone involved.” REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT Cohesive Construction has returned from the 2025 Commercial Project Awards with one gold and three silver awards, a reflection of the company’s dedication to collaboration, design excellence, and project delivery. Cohesive Construction Canterbury’s general manager Shaun Boldock says the recognition is a testament to the relationships the company has built with its clients, and the commitment of its entire team. “These awards reflect the trust and vision of our incredible clients,” he says. T T to page 22 “We’re proud to have delivered on their goals through the dedication, skill, and collaboration of everyone involved.” Taking out the gold award, the CoolTranz Distribution Warehouse and Offices in Hornby, Christchurch showcases the strength of Cohesive’s collaborative design-and- build model. Delivered in three stages, the project comprises a 1700sqm cool store with eight insulated loading docks and advanced logistic features. A second stage added a 433sqm purpose-built office, completed while the client remained operational on-site. High-spec finishes, including tiled bathrooms, a steel art wall, and rendered concrete plaster exterior, all contributed to a workplace designed not just for efficiency, but for staff wellbeing. The final stage, now complete, adds a fuel depot to further support operations. The project team used Procore software for real-time communication and safety tracking, and employed the Last Planner System to streamline task planning and coordination. This approach enabled safe, efficient work in a live environment, and ensured delivery to the client’s exacting standards.
