T T from page 20 Cohesive Construction REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT The project comprises a 1600sqm warehouse and a 470sqm, two-storey office, with standout elements such as custom-coloured louvres forming a dynamic external façade. Inside, the ground floor houses a reception area and workshop access, while the first floor features an open-plan kitchen and offices leading to a balcony framed by the louvres. Construction was staged to allow Tru Group to begin operating from the warehouse while the office fit-out was completed, demonstrating Cohesive’s capacity to adapt and deliver within live work environments with minimal disruption. In Central Otago, the newly completed Redpaths building in Cromwell earned silver for its turnkey delivery and regional design detail. The 435sqm structure includes a 270sqm warehouse, showroom, office space, and an upstairs two-bedroom apartment. Cohesive worked closely with Redpaths to refine their initial concept, delivering a practical yet aesthetically impressive building. Features include a blend of concrete tilt panels, steel portals, schist stonework, and cedar cladding to tie the structure into the surrounding landscape. The company also completed the full internal fit-out and external works, including car parking and landscaping. Another silver went to Cohesive’s work on the Cochranes of Canterbury building in Ashburton. Purpose-designed for the agricultural machinery dealership, the building includes a warehouse, showroom, mezzanine office, and a dedicated wash bay. A key design challenge was ensuring clear sightlines across the showroom floor for displaying large equipment, which was achieved through wide-span glazing and minimal internal framing. The project also features polished concrete floors and internal roller doors for operational efficiency.
