Marlborough Lines sponsored this new category to highlight important work being done in electrification and energy efficiency across Marlborough that is helping lead the way towards a lower-carbon future. TRS Wholesale topped this category with a ground-breaking project involving the development of the world’s first commercially available, fully electric trailed sprayers for use in both vineyards and orchards. Rather than relying on PTO (power take-off) or hydraulic systems traditionally powered by diesel engines, these sprayers have been specifically engineered to work with electric tractors. By utilising the tractor’s power system, it provides a completely emission-free approach on orchard and vineyard spraying.
