CIVIL CONSTRUCTION LB Civil T T Kelly Deeks “We aim to make it easy for our tier 1 partners to trust us, not only with the physical work, but also with planning, quality assurance, and communication.” Christchurch-based civil infrastructure firm LB Civil has built a strong reputation as a trusted partner for tier 1 contractors by delivering quality projects safely and reliably across the South Island for the past seven years. Now growing its attribute base and showcasing its capabilities, LB Civil is positioning itself for future opportunities. LB Civil is led by director Sam Lentjes and general manager Kieran Davis, and together the pair forms a complementary leadership team, with Sam the ideas man, and Kieran the delivery-focused GM. Specialising in three waters infrastructure, LB Civil operates throughout the South Island. The company is currently a key subcontractor on the New Zealand Defence Force infrastructure upgrade at Burnham Military Camp, where it has been on-site since late 2024. “It’s the kind of job that keeps on giving,” Kieran says. “We’ve got a couple more months there yet, with potential for more scope to come on.” LB Civil also recently delivered significant three waters infrastructure upgrades for the Te Kaha Stadium project in central Christchurch, working alongside Isaac Construction. “That project had everything from access constraints and tight deadlines to multiple buried services. But we completed our section ahead of schedule and without compromising on safety or quality.” Hydro excavation is a key part of LB Civil’s service offering. “You can’t do a job without hydro now,” Kieran says. “No one wants to hit a live service, and people are rightly cautious about just grabbing a shovel.” LB Civil currently operates four, four- to fiveman crews, two hydro trucks with dedicated operators, and a small but efficient management team, including a recently appointed site engineer and an operations manager overseeing field crews and subcontractors. “Delivering timely updates, coordinating workflows, and keeping everything moving efficiently is a big part of what we do,” says Kieran. “We aim to make it easy for our tier 1 partners to trust us, not only with the physical work, but also with planning, quality assurance, and communication.” Kieran says the focus is on building capability and delivering quality without compromise, while preserving the company’s tight-knit, family-oriented culture. “There is ambition to grow, but still know everyone’s names and what’s going on in their lives. Our people are everything, and looking after their physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing is how we’ll continue to deliver excellence for our clients.” ‚‚‚ȅd dm /!ȅ SȅKŽ N< ;<C@M<I .SdȤSrdȤ C5!KmhȀȤ SKȤm5J!ȀȤ!!dˆȤm5J!ȅȤ COMPLETE FLEET SERVICE AND MAINTENANCE 710 Halswell Junction Rd, Christchurch Workshop 03 3446173 | Andrew 02108411266 Plant and Machinery WOF COF repairs
