Gary and Mel Gardiner and their skilled team provide a full-service contracting business built on a reputation for technical capability and can-do approach to wastewater systems. The company specialises in everything to do with wastewater, from septic tank designs and installation, to servicing, repairs and upgrades. They have their own vacuum truck, which is kept busy with liquid waste removal, and sucking out mud sumps, grease traps and water tanks. They have a well-equipped service vehicle stocked with pumps and filters for servicing and repairs needs, and an automatic servicing programme to ensure your tank is kept in perfect working order. They supply and install both concrete and plastic water tanks, install pumps for rural properties, and can help clients navigate and secure local council consents for all works. As an approved septic tank and new water-connection installer for the Dunedin City Council, and a registered contractor with the Plumbers, Gasfitters and Drainlayers Board, All Septic & Drainage guarantees that every job is fully compliant and up to code. “When you work with us, we like to make things easy and efficient,” says Gary. “We’ll come out to your site, give you all the information you need, and help you through the council consent process. Once everything is approved, we can usually have a new residential system installed in two or three days.” Gary is a certified drainlayer with more than two decades of experience in coordinating and executing wastewater design-and-install projects. “I spent 20 years in the drainage industry before the opportunity came up to buy what was then Dave Brownlie Drainage Services back in 2013,” he recalls. “From day one, we hit the ground running. With a small team we pride ourselves on being an efficient and friendly team on-site.” Gary is still on the tools, balancing site visits, quoting, and design work with first-hand installation. Mel runs the office, making sure jobs run smoothly, and that communication is clear between the team and their clients.
