Warren’s journey with Joinery Zone began with his apprenticeship under founder Neville Kitchen. “I started here as an apprentice in 1991, working for Neville, then became a tradesman and later the foreman and eventually, when Neville moved to Queenstown, I bought him out in 2012. “We started out as a small workshop on Fraser Street, but as the business grew, we moved to a much bigger space at 27 Redruth Street five years ago,” says Warren. Offering traditional and modern joinery for new homes, renovations or restoration, Joinery Zone has a broad portfolio of new and remodelled kitchens that maximise functionality and style. “We do everything from windows and doors to custom cabinetry and timber machining. Whether it’s a new home or a renovation, we can help you remodel.” The showroom allows clients to explore unique kitchen designs, and inspect its range of quality appliances, and fixtures and fittings, all sourced from reputable suppliers. “We use only the best-quality products, no cheap imports,” says Warren. “All our ovens and appliances come through Harvey Norman Commercial, so you know you’re getting top brands.” Among their many standout projects of late is the renovation of a grand character home on Benvenue Ave, Māori Hill – a complete remodel of the character home fit-out for a private client. ‘”This was a significant joinery fit-out throughout,” says Warren. “We made a new custom front door, installed new kitchens, double-glazed windows, window seats, internal doors, custom entertainment unit, a lot of top-quality oak veneer and custom spray finishing.” A downstairs guest residence, a small self-contained unit, which could be used as an Airbnb, was also fitted out in new joinery as part of this project. This recent fit-out was for a long-standing client with multiple properties, indicative of the strong relationships Warren and his team have established with local builders, private clients, and the wider community. “Most of our work is referral and repeat customers, which is good. That’s when you know you’re doing the job right, when they get you back to do more elsewhere.” Joinery Zone 2012 Ltd can handle every aspect, from quote and measure to design and installation, and ensures minimal disruption to the client throughout the process.
