With over 25 years of combined experience, the pair is more than qualified to produce stunning dream homes for its clients. “We had our own separate building companies and it made sense to combine our talents to better service our clients,” explains Jordan. “Essentially they are now getting two builders for the price of one.” Clients benefit from a number of synergies making the process of building their new home easy. Jordan and Sam, both Licensed Building Practitioners with Forbes Residential a member of New Zealand Certified Builders and a Qualified BCITO Professional, are the point of contact, making for an incredibly personal building experience. “We are on the job, working on the tools which enables us to keep a good handle on quality,” says Jordan. “We can undertake multiple projects simultaneously and employ a team of builders as well as subcontractors as required.” Forbes Residential specialises in design-build and turnkey new home options. This includes houses, townhouses and apartments. Jordan and Sam either build on clients’ own land or offer spec homes for those that want a truly hassle-free experience. A good example is a home Forbes Residential has built in Sovereign Park in Kaiapoi. Located at 100 Sutherland Drive, the 256sqm home comprises four bedrooms and two bathrooms on 759sqm of land. It’s on one of the last sections left in Sovereign Drive, and Jordan says high level of attention to detail have been applied to every aspect of the build, starting with the floor plan and its placement on the section, providing a natural flow throughout, to the high quality fixtures and fittings and the use of cladding to compliment the environment. The home boasts large open plan living with over height ceilings, a designer kitchen with marble bench tops and European appliances, ducted air-conditioning throughout plus a Pyro Classic wood burner and security alarm and cameras. Karen Phelps The build started in March and Jordan expects the project to be finished by spring 2022. It’s the third home that Forbes Residential has built in Sovereign Park and all are architecturally designed high-spec homes. Another project underway is in Rangiora, a full contract build of a 240sqm home with four bedrooms, two bathrooms, brick and cedar cladding and a special feature of scissor truss ceilings. Forbes Residential is also working on two potential house and land packages in Woodend, which would deliver two lifestyle properties to the market, each on 5ha blocks. Jordan says Forbes Residential prides itself on operating transparently and maintaining good communication with clients every step of the way. Its solid relationships with architects and suppliers means it has not been too adversely affected by the materials shortages and delays that have hit the industry hard during the pandemic. As members of New Zealand Certified Builders clients can benefit from the association’s build guarantee. “A Halo 10-Year Residential Guarantee offers protection after the building process, and for the next 10 years. It provides much greater protection than both the Building Act and Consumer Guarantees Act,” says Jordan. “We are on the job, working on the tools which enables us to keep a good handle on quality.” FLOOR PREPARATION • VINYL CARPET • TIMBER • POLISHING 15 Stanmore Rd, Phillipstown www.dcflooring.co.nz info@dcflooring.co.nz
