Ravenswood has an idyllic setting in beautiful North Canterbury and is superbly well-connected to neighbouring towns and nearby beaches. The convenient location next to SH1 means city and airport are only a short drive away. Ravenswood’s Bob Robertson Drive, which opened in May 2021, provides a direct connection between Pegasus and Rangiora and has been designed to cater for motorists, cyclists and pedestrians alike. Build progress on the ground is proceeding apace, thanks in no small part to the efficiency of land and build companies buying sites at Ravenswood and then starting work on-site as soon as titles are issued. “In the history of our company, we have never experienced such swift and high build activity as is being experienced in Ravenwood, especially in the last two years,” says Jerome O’Sullivan, Development Manager Commercial for Infinity Investment Group. “This will continue as titles for each stage are issued.” Stage 4, currently under construction, includes an 8.7ha retirement village that will accommodate 240 units. Stage 5 earthworks are underway, with stage completion anticipated in 2023. Sales have been running hot over the past two years, with 1070 sites out of a total 1259 having sold. In fact, 764 sites alone have sold since the start of 2020, with many going to young families, first time home buyers, and retirees opting to downsize. There has also been strong purchase activity from North Islanders relocating to Canterbury. to page 80 With the region having been significantly under-supplied with residential sites for some time now, Jerome says Ravenswood has been able to accommodate demand-driven growth and is contributing to an ongoing boom in population growth across the district. “A combination of factors is driving demand for sites in Ravenswood. “The house and land build packages provided by building companies have been and still are very affordable.”
