102 | T T Kelly Deeks Exciting year ahead for DMC DMC Projects is built on its reputation and the company enjoys good relationships and recommendations from satisfied customers, architects, and interior designers. DMC Projects BUILDING Growing Christchurch building firm DMC Projects has its first House of the Year entrants in its sights for next year, with a substantial renovation project and builder’s own home due to start soon and set to impress with complex architectural detailing and excellent craftsmanship. DMC Projects has been running for more than six years and was started in Christchurch by Dave McLeod in 2018. David is a Registered Master Builder with more than 20 years’ of experience in construction in Timaru, Wellington, Christchurch, Australia, and the UK. He has had the opportunity to explore many different building techniques and materials, allowing him to hit the ground running when clients are looking for something unique. Dave loves delivering dream homes to his clients, whether they’re architectural homes, new builds or renovations. DMC Projects is built on its reputation and the company enjoys good relationships and recommendations from satisfied customers, architects, and interior designers. As it has grown, Dave is leading his team of six from the front. “Time, cost and quality control all play a major role in the success of any project, and my clients can be assured we are there to get the job done, on-time, on-budget, and to an excellent standard,” he says. As well as building the DMC Projects team, Dave has also built trusted relationships with a group of reliable and professional subcontractors, architects, interior designers and engineers who all enjoy working together and share the same core-values. “We’re there to deliver homes that are completed to an excellent standard so we can grow our business and referrals. There are a lot of moving parts to every building project so we go in with a solid plan, an organised team, and clear communication skills to make sure everyone is on the same page.” DMC Projects will be building their first architectural show home with panoramic views across the Avon-Heathcote estuary. Being a builder’s own home, this project will run in between DMC Projects’ client builds and therefore Dave will have no pre-conceived completion date for their new home. But they do intend it to be Master Builders House of the Year quality, and they excitedly anticipate entering it into the competition once complete. Before then though, DMC Projects has an architectural renovation in the works, which is shaping up to be a contender for House of the Year recognition. Dave says. “Threefold Architecture and Fabel Design have done a superb job at bringing this architectural gem back to life. The interior is very modern and high-spec and we look forward to getting the project underway soon.” Dave and the DMC Projects team have an exciting year ahead, and they look forward to delivering dream homes to their clients, seeing Canterbury take shape and being part of the process. steve@5dce.co.nz 027 534 6657 www.5dce.co.nz  • Residential design, alterations & extensions • Low-rise commercial, warehouses & shops • Industrial & educational buildings • Foundation & retaining wall design Proudly supporting DMC Projects CALL NOW 021 390 624 P.O.
