Copper Beech Estate now has its fifth stage complete, with 50 generously sized lots ranging from 3000sqm to 10,000sqm. Boasting both strategic location and picturesque surroundings, Copper Beach Estate is already home to some beautiful park-like properties and even a House of the Year award winner. Copper Beach Road was opened up on February 3 with Mayor of Waimakariri Dan Gordon officially cutting the ribbon on the new section of road that completed the northern end of the development. The new section allows residents of Copper Beech Estate to enter State Highway 1 closer to the Woodend Primary School, making that and the other amenities on Woodend’s main road a mere kilometre away from Copper Beech Estate. A passion project for Pam and Ken Jackson, Copper Beech Road dates back to when the couple bought their first block of land on Woodend Beach Road in 1997 with the intention of future development which began in 2017. Pam and Ken planted Pam’s favourite trees, the striking Copper Beech, on the road sides, infusing the landscape with their distinctive copper beech tree colour. With an average section size of 5000sqm, Copper Beech Estate brings something different to the Woodend community. “We wanted to offer a return to classic Kiwi living,” Pam says. “With our large lots, residents can create their own park-like landscape and have plenty of room to park their boat or their caravan.” A range of buyers have already built and moved in to Copper Beech Estate, from retirees coming from farms or larger blocks, and the self-employed including local builder BG Cooke who won a regional gold award at the 2021 Registered Master Builders House of the Year competition for their own home. A blend of industrial and residential design, this home features precast tilt panels, black tray roofing, and beautiful Australian hardwood. Inside is a statement of industrial glamour and luxury with the open plan living space sitting beneath rustic railway trusses, exposed steel, and LMA timber. “This is one of the most beautiful homes at Copper Beech Estate and we are very proud of it as well,” Pam says. The strategic location of Copper Beech Estate has been a drawcard for those wanting a retreat from the hustle and bustle of daily life. A range of eateries and amenities are in easy reach with Woodend’s town centre within walking distance of Copper Beech Estate. The town is a recreational paradise, with a wide open sandy beach, suitable for swimming and surfing, and multiple walking and cycling tracks, playgrounds and picnic areas. “We wanted to offer a return to classic Kiwi living. With our large lots, residents can create their own park-like landscape and have plenty of room to park their boat or their caravan.” Christchurch Airport is less than 20 minutes away, and Riccarton can be reached within 25 minutes. Two minutes up the road at Ravenswood, 20ha of commercially zoned land is filling up with many businesses and amenities, including a New World, a Gull service station, and more big name retailers opening soon. Travel a further two minutes to reach Pegasus, its championship golf course, amenities, and recreation areas. Copper Beach Estate stage five is now selling, and offering lots with magical views in a peaceful setting, ranging from 3135sqm to 7687sqm.
