AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY Three Sixty Collision Whether it’s a parking prang or a noseto-tail, car accidents are scary and stressful, while dealing with repairs and insurance can make the experience even harder, but having the right collision-repair service will remove the stress and make it easier to get up and running again. In Mid Canterbury, Three Sixty Collision sets a high bar on quality collision repairs, with a full service from start to finish. Aaron Jones, owner of the Ashburton-based business, says sorting out what needs to be done after a crash can be particularly daunting for people going through it for the first time. “Our customers look to us for guidance, including how to deal with their insurance company,” he says. “We work with them to make the entire repair process as easy as possible.” Three Sixty Collision started with a small repair team in Ashburton in 2004. When Aaron bought the business in 2019, he saw opportunities to apply skills he had gained through his long career with Carrfields in Mid Canterbury working in servicing, repairs and sales. “I really enjoy being in a service-focused business where I can use my experience of managing staff and supporting customers,” he says. With his background, Aaron has naturally taken the lead with insurers, and has simplified the insurance process for Three Sixty Collision’s customers. A panel-beating business management system called iBodyshop, introduced by Aaron, has transformed business operations. “We have good links with insurance providers – once a customer lodges a claim, we will have their details and information here before they arrive for the repair assessment. We can send everything to the insurer for quoting. It’s all pretty seamless. The new software has been very helpful to us, and keeps getting more and more developed.” Aaron leads a skilled and experienced team that includes workshop manager Cory Rose, who is a highly experienced automotive specialist, as well as estimator Aden Pulham, who has been repairing cars for over 25 years. “We have also trained six paint and panel apprentices over the last few years. We’re strongly focused on growing our own team, and growing depth in our team. I believe that’s the right thing for our business and for the industry. “We use really good tech and equipment throughout the repair process, from our Car-O-Liner collision repair equipment to PPG Paints, a globally recognised brand supplied to us by Automotive Colours. “Their team also supports us with other products, such as Body-Liner, a new body-protection range that gives our customers even more choice on protecting their vehicles.” Three Sixty Collision is closely aligned with Matts Towing Ltd in Ashburton, which provides 24/7 towing services. Aaron notes that repairs are getting more complex as automotive technology advances. In turn, this is driving up costs of parts and repairs. “For us, it also means there’s a need for more advanced testing equipment when doing repairs.” As a member of New Zealand’s Collision Repair Association, Three Sixty Collision stays up to date with all industry requirements. CRA membership is an assurance of high-standard workmanship and quality. Crashes are upsetting, but in Mid Canterbury, motorists know they can rely on Three Sixty Collision to make the repair process as quick and painless as possible.
