Having expanded rapidly from a specialist utility vehicle manufacturer into one of the Pacific’s most recognised providers of integrated infrastructure fleet solutions, Waimea Group is now focused on remaining closely aligned with the practical demands of councils, utilities, and contractors working across essential services. Chief Revenue Officer Kingsley Thomas says new product development, geographical expansion, and a growing service model are driving momentum across New Zealand, Australia, and the Pacific Islands. At the centre of the latest product development is the new jetting unit designed for municipal maintenance work, including drain and stormwater clearing. “The Alljet® Jetter is purpose built for council and contractor environments” Kingsley says. “It gives teams a highly effective tool for drain and stormwater work.” Waimea Group has also introduced the Linelift® DHT105 insulated elevated work platform, now available for operation on a standard car licence across New Zealand and Australia. “By enabling live line capability without requiring a heavy vehicle licence, we are opening up telecommunications, street- lighting, and maintenance work to a much wider group of operators,” he says. The company’s broader innovation programme, including jetters, hydro excavation units, and combination trucks, has been strongly received as customers increasingly seek versatility and efficiency in fleet design. “Developing, producing a proven turnkey solution, and providing Life Cycle support is providing customers a level of confidence” he says “The response has been very positive because these are not concepts,” Kingsley says. “They are fully operational vehicles supported by our service network. Customers value knowing they are getting equipment designed for local conditions and backed throughout its lifecycle.” Water infrastructure has become a defining focus for the business as councils and utilities place greater emphasis on preventative maintenance and system resilience. “Clean water, stormwater management, and sewerage systems are essential services,” Kingsley says. “We are working closely with operators to reduce downtime and improve reliability through proactive maintenance support.” He says the company’s 365 Performance Plans are helping customers manage fleet performance and reduce unplanned outages affecting critical services. Waimea Group’s geographic expansion continues across all key regions, with New Zealand remaining the anchor market and Australia emerging as a major growth area, particularly in the power and communications sectors.
