Tru-Line Civil is a medium-sized Civil Engineering contracting enterprise based in Christchurch and on the West Coast. Tru- Line is a family owned company, with five passionate Powell family members engaged in the management, administration and with the day-to-day running of key projects and deliverables. “For both of these developments, we have been doing all the site and road works, including kerb and channel and footpaths, plus all the services and earthworks, storm water, sewer and laying fibre and power.” Tru-Line Civil has accrued over 100 years’ experience in civil contracting over the range of civil works from road building, earthworks, bridge building, and concrete structures, to cable laying, pressure reticulation systems, and piped sewer and stormwater installations. Projects have included a wide array of associated works such as pumping stations, impermeable membrane lining of retention reservoirs, grouted anchor retaining struc- tures, and construction of super-sized con- crete reservoir tanks for urban water supply. Well-point de-watering for deep piping systems has become a strength, along with construction of complete fully serviced urban housing estates. In Rangiora, the Tru-Line Civil team has been delivering all site works – from earth- works to roading services – for Oakville residential estate on Townsend Rd. This new estate is offering a select mix of larger section sizes, (with 23 sections available). The project has required construction of a 200-metre road link between Townsend Rd and Pentecost Rd, as well as new a road north into the development. “We originally did the Townsend Rd extension to support the larger subdivision [Townsend Fields] to the west of this one,” says Tru-Line Civil Project Engineer Shane O’Kelly.
