It’s really awesome engineering and construction and it’s giving our members a chance to showcase their smarts, think outside the square with the resources they have, and get the job done.” While a proportion of civil contractors’ work happens below ground and is consequently not seen, some award-winning Southland projects such as the Manapouri Pearl Harbour and Bluff’s Town Wharf upgrades, Invercargill’s Streetscapes development in Esk and Don streets and the Edendale road by-pass are examples of some of the more visible
