14 | REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT Station Bay Lake Tekapo Unique development at Lake Tekapo Karen Phelps Boutique architectural firm Dravitzki Brown has designed each home and most homes will have lake views. A stunning new luxury development at Lake Tekapo called Station Bay has just been launched to the market. The first release sees 10 house-and-land packages offered and Jonathan Speedy from developer Station Bay Tekapo Limited says strong the focus has been on creating an extremely high quality offering. “It’s about creating something a little bit unique for the area and a legacy project that will add real value to the region for many years to come,” he says. The land has been in the family for many years and adjoins Lake Tekapo Motels & Hol- iday Park. Station Bay will eventually include over 200 homes. It is the only development on Lake Tekapo. Positioned on the shores of the lake, Station Bay is a place where considered architecture perfectly embraces nature’s surrounding beauty for a lake front lifestyle like no other, says Jonathan. Boutique architectural firm Dravitzki Brown has designed each home and most homes will benefit from lake views. Sections range in size from around 318sqm to 767sqm. Home options range from 150-200sqm and offer three or four bedrooms and 2.5 to 4 bathrooms. Stylish yet durable materials have been selected including metal cladding with stone and cedar features to add distinction. Inside is a similar story with a focus on the utmost quality including engineered timber flooring, tiled bathrooms and showers and optional additions such as fireplaces. Jonathan says every aspect has been carefully consid- ered including landscaping and entranceway to make Station Bay really stand out. Station Bay Tekapo Limited is part of Cov- ington Group Holdings, a New Zealand owned and privately held investment company with a proven track record of business management and property development. “We pride ourselves on working with the best. Our highly qualified team have a wealth of experience and knowledge, which we bring to the Station Bay project,” says Jonathan. Previous developments completed by the Group include Waikanae North, a master planned subdivision of approximately 150 sections situated 30 minutes from Wellington on the Kapiti Coast and currently in process of an apartment project in Grey Lynn, Auckland. Station Bay offers a variety of unique home and land packages due for staged release. The first stage comprises 48 sections in total with multiple different architecturally designed residences. Jonathan expects many will sell to those desiring a luxury holiday home or a home that could possibly be rented out to travellers as an investment. Only five min- utes away from the Tekapo Town Centre and around three hours from Queenstown and Christchurch Station Bay makes having a luxu- ry getaway in a quiet location a reality. It is close to the 165-hectare Lake Tekapo Regional Park which has scenic tracks for walking and mountain biking, Cowan’s Hill Walkway, which provides stunning 360 degree views of the lake. Other local attractions in- clude stargazing at Dark Sky Project from the summit of Mount John, bathing in heated al- pine water at Tekapo Springs, and The Cairns Golf Course - a picturesque 9-hole challenge. “Unlike Queenstown, Lake Tekapo is still a quiet place that is perfect for relaxation and getting close to nature. Beach, boating, kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing, mountain biking and skiing are all on your doorstep but without the hustle and bustle and traffic congestion of larger tourist destinations. Jet boating, 4WD touring and scenic flights are other ways to explore the area. Station Bay is perfect for those with a love of the great outdoors.” / Land Surveying & Resource Management / Subdivision & Engineering Design / Stormwater Management / Contract Management / Geotechnical Engineering / Advanced Site Design & Modelling 0800 888 350 timaru@do.nz www.do.nz CREATING BRIGHTER FUTURES Proud to be part of the Station Bay Development
