Not only has he grown the business nation- wide, he has only continued to expand the range of services available. Entire Electrical has seven branches spanning New Zealand, employing a team of over 45 highly experienced electricians and apprentices. The company’s name says it all – whatever electrical service is required, Entire Electrical has the solution, from general electrical needs through to audio-visual, security and builders’ temporary power supplies, as well as heat pumps and automation systems. With all new house wiring jobs, Entire Elec- trical offers clients a walkthrough to discuss their needs and how these can best be met. The professional team is pledged to upholding quality, reliability, and to providing realistic costs and time-frames. A passionate supporter of the NZ-made ethos, Entire Electrical also favours eco-friend- ly products. Jake is keenly aware that most new home owners want the process of getting all their services connected to be as seamless as possible. Entire Electrical has a solution for this too, having recently partnered with Uni- versal Plumbing and Universal Drainage in Christchurch to offer a comprehensive service package. The three companies are now able to offer clients a unified quote and a well-coordi- nated service. “It can be a real headache for people to get services like power, fibre and water from the street to their house but we can now organise all of that – it’s so simple,” Jake says. “We liaise with local power networks to do the whole connection, from application to connection.” The partnership arrangement grew out of Jake meeting Marcus van Klink, founder of Universal Plumbing, on various house projects and realising how much sense it would make for a Master Electrician to team up with a Master Plumber to offer a full service to home owners. “From there, we realised that the third spoke of the wheel we were missing was drainage and so we then launched Universal Drainage, which is managed by Brendon Genet, a registered, certified drain-layer. It’s a standalone business but it mostly operates alongside Entire Electrical and Universal Plumbing.” As well as delivering a seamless service, Jake says the bigger team also brings a wealth of experience to every project with all three companies also very competitive on price. Entire Electrical and Universal Plumbing both work at scale for group builders and so are keenly aware of market realities and market trends. “We know what people want and we know how to deliver a quality product at a reasonable price.” Entire Electrical, Universal Drainage and Universal Plumbing will soon all be under one roof, working out of the same building and yard in Belfast, with plans for the new facility going to consent shortly. “It means clients will soon be able to have their electrical consultation with us and then go and pick their vanities and tapware – all they’ll need to do is walk in one door and through another to get everything sorted.” T Kim Newth
