Simon is the Managing Director of Collett Group, the organisation delivering the project that will consist of 87 individual Cubes (units) of varying sizes and configurations, built on 2.4 hectares zoned for mixed business. Ideally aimed at small to medium sized businesses, where the owner is looking to own their own premises, that level of density will also provide a very vibrant business community, and that is the very heart of what the Collett Group team are trying to create — a rich environment where people not only work, but network. “Many tradespeople have similar business issues and you end up with this rich bank of people sharing ideas and solutions, while building valuable business relationships,” says Simon. “With the huge amount of residential development going on in the area, it’s the perfect location for that and we have included an open communal area for people to meet, and network over a coffee.” The Cube on Queen, takes its name from its Queen Street location in Richmond, the busy town’s main street. An extremely fast-growing town in the Nelson-Tasman region, Simon says Richmond could not be a more perfect for development, connecting very well to the Mapua/Tasman area, with Brightwater and Wakefield to the south, and then the Stoke and Nelson area. “There has also been a massive amount of residential development around Richmond West — the largest scale master planned residential developments ever seen in the Nelson/ Tasman area, with incredible growth over the last five years.
