Electra Tech, a highly regarded wine industry and commercial specialist, has a long standing working relationship with NZ Wineries (NZW) and provided all electrical services to their new winery development in Kendrick Road. The Electra Tech team supplied tank control and plant control services for the new winery, as well as meeting all lighting and general power requirements. “We wired the whole place, from the mains to the data cables,” says Electra Tech owner and founder Bill Arnold, who has been involved with NZW from the get go, wiring the original site and existing winery. “We’re proud to have worked with NZ Wineries for many years now.” Bill’s career as an electrician spans nearly four decades, half of that spent in Marlborough with a specialist focus on the wine and commercial industries. He leads a professional and highly skilled team at Electra Tech that is fully equipped to meet the needs of their clients throughout the renowned wine region. “Many of our people have been in the industry for a long time and bring all that experience to every job and we have our own leet of modern vehicles to get themwhere they need to go. If it has wire and it’s in a winery than we do it.” Specialist electrical services, providedwith pride Electra Tech has worked on a number of memorable projects in the region, including the Bragato Research Institute’s new research winery that opened last year in Blenheim. It was an honour for Electra Tech to be selected as electricians for BRI’s newwinery that has been developed to provide a sustainability benchmark for the industry. “We install VinWizard tank control systems, designed by David Gill of Wine Technology, which are at the forefront of winery automation,” Bill observes. “We work closely with our partners in automation and are proud to be a part of the wine industry’s ongoing progression and innovation here in Marlborough.” Every day is di erent for the Electra Tech team, whether working on the large technical commercial projects or more routine jobs such as repairing pumps or installing lighting.
