As Barry explains, the main bene it of plant like this is that it e iciently and cleanly uses nitrogen for the degassing (to remove/reduce CO2) and the sparging removes excess CO2 by a lotation process, being a type of iltration. The new generation system also stacks up very well from a cost perspective being attractively priced compared to more traditional solutions. Racks of bottled nitrogen, known as man packs, are prohibitively expensive in the quantity required, and on site nitrogen generation is gaining popularity in the wine and food processing industry in general.
