The eight-storey development features 96 apartment style rooms, 30 apartments, a conference room, gym and onsite cafe. It will mark Wyndham Hotels & Resorts’ second Wyndham brand hotel for Christchurch, following the opening of Ramada Suites Christchurch. It is the second Wyndham Gar- den in the country. Wyndham Garden Christchurch City will be managed by Marsden Group and director of sales and marketing Roger Taitt says that because Wyndham Garden Christchurch City is centrally located near the city’s bustling foodie scene, with restaurants and cafés just a five minute walk away, as well as the casino and new Christchurch Convention Centre, it is ideal for business and leisure travellers looking for a convenient stay. “Guests who are visiting for leisure are also just a short distance from key attractions and experiences including the International Antarctic Centre, where they can explore the wonders of Antarctica, the Christchurch Riv- erside Markets, and the city’s iconic heritage buildings and unique architecture such as the Cardboard Cathedral,” he says. Roger says that guests will appreciate free perks like WiFi in public areas. The sound- proofed guest-rooms also offer free WiFi and iPod docks. Entertainment options include Smart TVs with satellite channels, while kitchenettes and coffee/tea makers provide the conveniences of home. A coffee shop, dry cleaning, and luggage storage are also on offer. “Our rooms feature a sleek, modern design with 60 apartment-style options including kitchen facilities for a home-cooked meal, washing machine and clothes dryers for add- ed convenience. Larger groups and families can take advantage of interconnecting rooms for extra space,” he says.
