Over the past decades the multi-faceted, family-owned business has developed a reputation for providing excellence in the wide variety of services it provides to clients. This includes civil construction, landscap- ing and paving, commercial and residential building. Also nationwide supply and installa- tion of tactile ground surface indicators and other ground safety/non-slip products such as stair nosings, tactile studs, non-slip treads and threshold ramps. Company managing director Jonathan Faulkner says that it’s a big achievement to reach the 25-year milestone. “If anything I’m humbled by it. I certainly never imagined when I started the company it would grow this big. It’s a real testament to the family and the team,” he says. While the accumulation of the sub brands are a natural expansion of the business, Jonathan sites that he was just in the right place at the right time when he originally got into paving. “I really didn’t know what I was going to do as a trade and fortunately enough I got the oppor- tunity to get involved with paving and concrete. I “It became a huge passion of mine. There was a huge gap in the market here in Blenheim, which presented an opportunity. Soon enough we had a few helpers, mainly family and friends, and then the business really took off.” Jonathan began his suite of companies, which are now owned under one entity called CMT Group NZ Ltd, in 1996 in Blenheim. Landscaping and civil construction company Conpavers was set up on the 1st July that year. The company undertakes a variety of com- mercial projects such as road works and re- development, as well as driveways, footpaths, paving, drainage, landscaping and more for commercial and residential projects. Total Tactilez, (formerly Barrier Free Solu- tions) was purchased in 2010 and enabled the Group to expand across the country.
