Moving containers, building supplies, buildings, machinery and vehicles, the professional team provides a safe and reliable end-to-end lifting service from bases in Dunedin and Central Otago. “We operate in accordance with best practice and Health and Safety at work regulations,” says Ray Casey, Managing Director of R&R Hiab Services. “We have also implemented our own procedures aimed at lifting standards across the whole industry.” As well as having robust Health and Safety policy and plans, the company culture is one that fosters constant improvement with ongoing staff training and development. Fleet vehicles are regularly inspected and are well-maintained to ensure operations run smoothly and on time and provide clients with trouble free lifting. With his extensive transportation and trucking background, Ray knows the industry inside and out. Working together with General Manager Luke Win, Ray says R&R is well set up to meet all client requirements. “We enjoy leading our awesome team!” R&R Hiab Services is equipped to respond to a wide variety of jobs from lifting structural steel, to truck, camper and car recovery. There is no shortage of lifting capability in the fleet with 26 trucks lifting a massive 21 tonnes, and reaching up to 36 metres with fly-jib trucks and small hiab trucks for the little jobs. On southern roads, R&R Hiab is ready to respond to breakdowns and other unexpected vehicle issues, whether it’s a stuck digger, or a broken down truck, camper or trailer. “We are recovery licensed and ready to roll out when help is needed. We provide 120 tonnes of winch pulling power and are 90-tonne rated to pull broken down trucks, as well as some special off-road recovery toys.” R&R Hiab Services can transport and deliver tricky loads to construction sites and regularly shifts 20ft to 40ft shipping containers to and from southern ports through their ATF facilities. “If you have any container requirements, don’t hesitate to call us. We have containers for sale and for hire and can provide modifications if needed. As well, we offer JCB telehandler equipment and portable office hire.” As a car transporter, R&R Hiab Services are highly experienced professionals. Ray and the team regularly help out with iconic motorsport events, Otago Rally and Highlands Motorsport Park. They move cars for competitors, such as those involved with the Paddon Racing Group. “We are proud of all our working relationships – some end up a little more fun than we ever planned!” As well as moving cars, R&R Hiab can assist with moving and lifting boats where they need to go.
