BUILDING BuildSmart Otago Ltd has been steadily growing these past 10 years, despite the ups and downs of the domestic residential build sector. Co-directors Glen Williamson and Shane Crossan lead a team of 15 builders and support staff, including, currently, three apprentices. As qualified, experienced builders, Glen and Shane each take care of their own projects, linking with crews on site to ensure a smooth build process occurs. A sister company, PaintSmart, works in tandem with these projects. When Business South spoke with Glen, the company had recently completed a three-storey, new building wih significant retaining work involved. The building is home to four individual apartments, with 12 bedrooms in total. Located at 315 York Place, these apartments were designed with the working professional in mind.
