A double-sided gas fireplace became a centrepiece feature internally. The project ran for four months. “Nothing was left untouched, essentially creating a brand-new house,” he says. “It was a full reset, and we delivered it swiftly and the result is a completely revitalised home. “The client was thrilled, and that’s the best outcome we can hope for.” The team works closely with architects, most often partnering with Threefold Architecture, to design projects that balance aesthetic ambition with buildability and cost control. Reclads have become a core focus for the team currently, having completed a full reclad on a Hawkesbury Avenue property, updating kitchens and bathrooms alongside installing a new cavity system. More reclad projects are lined up for properties on Wai-iti Terrace, Taitapu, and Mt Pleasant. “There’s a big uptick in renovations and reclads. With many homes built in the 1990s getting to the stage where they do need a freshen up. Giving older houses the performance and compliance of new builds, while adding value for owners.” Rydan Homes is a close-knit team with big capability and a solid pipeline of work stretching a year ahead. “The sector is looking a bit more positive which is good to see,” says Ryan. “I’m happy with the scale of our build team.
