| 39 Oceania Dairy is undertaking two parallel projects at its Glenavy plant - one designed to recover chemicals, the other to reduce water intake. DAIRY INDUSTRY Oceania Dairy Integrity, reliable equipment, good customer relationships, along with trained, experienced team members, have been the four cornerstones of success for Codemark, the New Zealand based distributor of high quality Domino Printing equipment. Domino manufactures printing equipment designed for production line applications, and many global OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) use Domino equipment for integration into their own systems. Codemark has established a good relationship with these OEMs. Codemark was established in 2003 by Managing Director Martin Kietzmann, and now includes branches in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, providing solutions, equipment and support to customers throughout New Zealand and the South Paci c. While food, beverage and pharmaceuticals are their major industry sectors, Codemark also supports and services a very broad spectrum of other manufacturing industries. Codemark’s team members are selected for printer experience, electro/mechanical skills and positive attitude, as well as their ability to identify and solve technical problems quickly. “All our people have both sales and technical skill sets. In addition to selling the machinery, they can also do the install, servicing and repairs. The team takes responsibility for the whole project from start to end. Our priority has always been service.” Martin emphasises the importance of high quality, reliable equipment with good print quality at high speeds for production lines. “When you’re in a production line environment, any stoppage costs money because there’s no product coming out the end of the tunnel. The equipment you have needs to be reliable. When the equipment does go down, service becomes important—how fast can production get back into operation again. So you need very good equipment and you need really good engineers to maintain the equipment.” With many of Codemark’s clients remaining loyal to the business from the very start, Martin says building and maintaining relationships has been at the heart of establishing mutual loyalty, trust and respect. “The team is very customer focused. You want customers to be happy with what you’ve delivered. If you have a client with a problem, and can get them operational again very quickly, they will acknowledge it. That provides personal satisfaction as well and our team has a lot of pride in what they do. We’re really strong on integrity and respect for each other, our customers and others within the industry.
