| 105 COMMUNITY Tuapeka Health - Chapman Construction With the support of the Clutha District Council, the trust has been developing land next to the community health centre for quality new homes. “Landscaping is a work in progress that I have taken on, with the help of a local landscape designer who did a plan for me that I’m following. “Both our homeowners are keen gardeners too: one has planted a veggie garden and the other has put in raised beds with some lovely flowers.” Mark says both homeowners are single older women, who are delighted at being able to stay in their community in a modern new home, connected with friends and family. “We wrap around some good community care too.” Another project currently underway is a fundraiser to repaint and refresh the exterior and roof of the town’s community health centre, which has recently had an internal spruce up with new paint and carpet tiles. “I have personally found this whole project hugely rewarding but also wish to acknowledge that it has been a real team effort.” 027 453 1645 sales@smithpg.net Certified Plumber, Gasfitter & Drainlayer.
