| 37 Fuel Installations CONTRACTING The new facilities will provide a home for the range of heavy and support plant, staff and contractors that the company already has servicing the South Island, Fuel Installations was founded by Earl Bryce-Bacon in 1970, and ten years later his son, Bryce Boyce-Bacon, joined him and later succeeded him in the business Bryce still owns. Richard has been with the company for ten years, from a background in the oil industry, project management and consulting since 1994. The company started out in Earl’s garage before out-growing a succession of sites and purpose-building its present home on Waikaukau Road in Glen Eden. The company spread throughout the North Island during the 1980s and 1990s, jumping the strait to the South Island in the early 2000s and marking that move by completing a large environmental remediation project there. Today Fuel Installations continues to be the preferred contractor to the oil and gas industry throughout New Zealand. “Our market is the ‘fuel’ market, the energy-based ingredient that keeps the country moving, and where that changes we’ll change with it.” Thundaflo Heavy Duty Channel Drainage System with variable built-in-fall.
