We picked up more New Zealand business during Covid and that has kept going too. “We’re getting a lot of bookings this year from New Zealand companies in the construction sector.” One of the keys to success for In2Food lies in their solid staff retention record, with a number of staff holding shares in the business. Menus are designed by experienced chefs who own a slice of the business and share a passion for utilising fresh produce from Central Otago. Winehouse event bookings ensure exclusive use of the venue on the day. All details are individually planned, with specific dietary requirements catered for. The In2Food team can work to a theme and provide menus that meet the needs of all guests. Market foodstyle events for corporates are an increasingly popular choice at Winehouse this year, says Andy. “These are ideal for standing style functions where you may have a big corporate group of 250 people. We set up food stalls, spread throughout the house and pavilion space, offering lots of different options. People love it as it’s so much more interactive.” For formal celebrations and gala dinners, shared platter style food is also hitting the spot in the business market. “Guests enjoy trying a bit of everything rather than being tied to a set menu.” Those who book at Winehouse also have an array of other venues available to them through the In2Food team. “We can give options for other places where they can go, with the same team working with them at say three venues with each offering different menu styles. ‘They might have dinner with us at Winehouse and then dine at Peregrine Winery and NZ High Country. It’s part of what makes us so unique in this market.” In2Food employs a core full-time team of around 20 people but can scale up as required. “We can run up to three events a day at different venues, thanks to our strong events management team.” The summer wedding season is very busy for In2Food. There is generally more availability for corporate events between May and September and on weekdays, rather than weekends.
