Our science tells us they are working harder than in a normal cycling workout due to the way its coached and the cinema experience,” he explains. Brett explains that they have incorporated programmes popular with various generations including Gen Z and millennials, ensuring a mix that caters to diverse preferences. For instance, LES MILLS SHAPES™, inspired by Pilates and barre and BODYBALANCE®, a yoga-based class that incorporates Tai Chi and Pilates, will provide a well-rounded fitness experience. The gym floor at the new Les Mills Dunedin facility is likewise set to be world-class, designed to accommodate all types of workouts from beginners to athletes. A prominent feature is the rig situated in the middle of the gym floor, providing more people the opportunity to engage in squatting and bench lifting, thereby promoting functional movements. “Whether you’re looking to run, bench press, squat snatch, or stretch, the brand-new gym floor has you covered. Everyone is welcome to this space which has zones dedicated to cardio machines, free weights, heavy lifting (including a multi-bay squat rig and lifting platforms), functional training and stretching.” On a practical front Brett says the new central location will make Les Mills Dunedin more accessible to more people. With over 600 carparks members will enjoy free 90 minutes parking. And for those times when people can’t make it in to the facility LES MILLS AT HOME gives members access to more than 150 science-backed workouts. Members can stream from their TV, laptop, mobile or tablet.
