96 | City Rise Townhouses: Paul Kirby Builders T T Bernadette Cooney City Rise project has views across the city DEVELOPMENT A tranquil environment Adding peace of mind for those building with Orange Homes are fixed price contracts. Orange Homes Ltd: Bellgrove Subdivision Dunedin city’s oldest suburb, City Rise, will see a new multi-level, townhouse development emerge in the coming months, adding seven much-needed new residences to the city, all of which will be constructed using thermally efficient SIPs panels. The City Rise Townhouses are the first significant development from Dunedin fire engineer Nimish Deo in collaboration with Dunedin building company, Paul Kirby Builders trading as PKB Otago Ltd. The seven new townhouses will be in three blocks totalling five homes on the Russell Street site and a set of two on Arthur Street and will help with the projected need for 11,000 new homes across Dunedin City by 2050 to cater for anticipated growth. The building of the duplex Arthur Street townhouses is expected to be complete early next year, under the masterful direction of Paul Kirby Builders, a family-owned Dunedin construction company with a wealth of experience in high-quality design and build services for residential and commercial projects across the city. “Our focus is on working together with our clients so they get the home that they want. We aim to deliver the best service and the best home possible for each and every client. We have a full team from architects to project managers and offer a great selection of home designs that can be customised, with flexibility to design from scratch if preferred.” Popular plans in the Orange Homes’ lineup include the luxurious Warlander (4-bed, 4-bath), the large pavilion style Colorado plan (4-bed, 2+ bath), French inspired design with Les Arcs (3-bed, 2-bath), along with many stylish, spacious family-home layouts (such as Jutland, Cleveland and Arizona), Adding peace of mind for those building with Orange Homes are fixed price contracts – meaning no surprises once the deal has been signed. Orange Homes works throughout the Canterbury region from Ashburton to Hanmer Springs. The team is delighted with the current upsurge of interest in home building north of the Waimakariri River. “North Canterbury has been a little under-developed compared to other parts of the region but there is a lot of attraction for people wanting to be in the Rangiora area. Bellgrove is a huge opportunity in the Rangiora market – it is going to have 1300 sections in total, so it’s a big development. “For us, it’s a real privilege to be a part of people’s journey here, whether it’s their first home or downsizing. We relish this opportunity to be involved in the Waimakariri district, building quality homes at Bellgrove.” Find out more about building with Orange Homes at Bellgrove by visiting the development’s sales office at 1 Homestead Drive, Rangiora, (open Wed-Sun from midday to 4pm or by appointment) or by browsing the Orange Homes website (orangehomes.co.nz). All are welcome to visit Orange Homes’ Bellgrove showhome from this October. T T from page 95 “We’ve worked together on other build projects, and I trust Paul Kirby Builders capability and project management, so they are a good choice for the City Rise townhouses,” says Nimish. The two-bedroom townhouses will be across three levels with garage on the first level, bedrooms, and bathrooms on the second level and kitchen/dining and living on the third level. All townhouses will have views across the city and out to the harbour. Nimish says it took three years to get the project off the ground, but it will be an asset to the city, adding modernity to the grand old homes and schools within the City Rise boundary. He added he would like to acknowledge the excellent work provided by the design team on this project, Dwelling Architectural Design and Upright Consulting Structural Engineers. Also managing director of Fire Design Solutions, a local consulting firm around fire safety engineering, Nimish says his development will provide stronger, warmer, and drier homes perfect for city workers and young families. 84a Kingsley Street, PO Box 35-117 Christchurch, New Zealand | P: 03 377 6237 E: cochrane@cochrane.net.nz | www.cochrane.net.nz CLUB GIB INSTALLER: • Reliable, Professional, we stand behind our work 100% – Guaranteed • High Standard of Workmanship • Over a Century of combined Experience • Gib Board and Cove Supply, Fix and stop.
