The following tips can minimise these opportunities: • • Lock your doors and windows including your sheds and garages. • • Photograph/record make, model and serial numbers of valuables. • • Consider engraving your tools and bicycles with your drivers license number. • • Consider installing sensor lights. • • Store ladders away. • • Keep hedges and plants well trimmed - do not give burglars a place to hide. • • Check and maintain damaged fencing and locks. • • Note down and report car registrations and/or descriptions of suspicious vehicles or persons.
