As its name suggests the business revolves around installing, servicing and repairing the milking and pumping equipment used in the dairy industry, or at least it used to. “We are far more diverse than just milking and pumping these days. Many people think that’s all we do but we also do effluent, rotary platform servicing, water pumps for lifestyle blocks, solar solutions for everyone including a lot of sheep and beef farmers. We work with anyone who needs an agricultural engineering solution,” says Nathan. While home base is still Taranaki things have evolved and grown substantially including their new branch in Stratford where Moa Milking and Pumping have established two of their strongest brands with excellent reputations: global water pump brand Grundfos, and locally manufactured in Hamilton and built for New Zealand conditions, Waikato Milking Systems.
