Originally set up in the belief that the West Coast farming community could do with more options for the supplies they need, they were well placed to respond to the Whataroa and Karamea communities requests for them to set up a shop when ‘Farmlands’ pulled out. “We’ve been really well supported all over the coast, and we’ve just had our fth birthday in Whataroa. It works really well for the locals who don’t have the delivery fees on their product that they do from elsewhere, we pride ourselves on customer service and see the servicing of our customers as a major part of what we do,” says Glen. With their new premises built in 2019 they more than tripled their space and included a drive through loading area which makes life easier for everyone. They’ve doubled their display area and the visual presence means they attract a lot more foot traf c, but the core of what they do remains the same. “We try and keep things down to earth. We don’t want to get too carried away we just want to do our best to provide a good service and another option to our rural communities on the West Coast and Tasman regions,” says Glen.
