DAIRY PEOPLE » Waionehu Farm GrainCorp New Zealand Feed Range Recognised with Toitū Envirocare Certification GrainCorp Animal Nutrition has achieved a new milestone in sustainable feed production, with its feed product range now certi ied for greenhouse gas emissions by Toitū Envirocare. Toitū Envirocare is New Zealand’s leading standard for greenhouse gas emissions certi ication. The accreditation provides farmers with accurate emissions data for the products they use – including customised blends – to support more informed on-farm decisions. GrainCorp’s General Manager New Zealand Feeds & Oils, Daniel Calcinai, said the certi ication strengthens the company’s ability to support dairy farmers in balancing productivity with sustainability. “This certi ication helps us support farmers to enhance production and pro itability, while also providing better visibility over emissions,” Mr Calcinai said. “We’re working to simplify how emissions data is understood and used on-farm, so farmers can make informed decisions without compromising performance. “With our customised approach when it comes to feeding cows, we understand that every farm is di erent, and each herd has di erent requirements. “Our team specialises in assessing each farm situation and using our comprehensive range of quality products, along with our specialised feed planning and analysis tools, to recommend the right blend solution,” he said. The certi ication also allows farmers to compare the greenhouse gas emissions of di erent feed options – adding another layer of insight when planning their nutrition programs. “Our goal is to help farmers maximise production, while improving the utilisation of home-grown feeds,” Daniel says. “Once we make a recommendation, we continue to monitor results with tools like Tracker™ to ensure the results are delivering,” Mr Calcinai said.
