An engineer by trade Jarrod and Juliet established their own engineering company in Geraldine in 2004. The acquisition of PSL allowed the Marsdens to expand their offerings significantly. “With our engineering capabilities, it allows us to offer complete installs and provide farmers with a complete service,” says Jarrod. “We’re both from rural backgrounds. Juliet grew up on a farm and I have been engineering on farms for 20 odd years and this gives us unique insight into agricultural requirements.” Established in 1984 PSL originally built its reputation on the pumping of difficult solids-laden wastewater and sludge for municipal and industrial clients industries it still very much excels at and services today. Jarrod says this expertise has proved invaluable for dairy farmers dealing with effluent management challenges. For the dairy sector specifically, the company focuses on dairy effluent pump and separation systems, offering equipment that addresses the industry’s most pressing wastewater treatment needs.
