Morrison Agri offers two main brands of teat sprayer – Waikato Milking Systems’ Smart Spray and Onfarm Solutions’ Teatwand is a more recent addition to the company’s offering when it took on the agency for Canterbury and North Otago. Teatwand is a bridge mounted teat sprayer. Twin nozzles, clever use of optics and a patented spring head design allow for excellent coverage which improves teat condition and helps lower SSC and mastitis levels. The systems work consistently and reliably in small slow-moving rotary milking systems right up to the larger fast moving rotary milking systems that travel at speeds as fast as four seconds a stall. Paul says that Morrison Agri has spent a lot of time over recent years into reducing its environ- mental impact as a business. This has seen it intro- duce a scheme to recycle all rubberware aspects of milking systems for farmers. “If a farmer purchases their new rubber items from us we take care of the rest – collecting and recycling their old rubber milking machine compo- nents. We make it easy for them to also reduce their environmental impact.” He says it is the regular servicing of equipment that is the other main factor in increasing the ef- ficiency of the farming operation for enhanced prof- itability. Morrison Agri offers regular maintenance contracts to ensure equipment is always working at its optimum.
