With 45 years in business and more than 6,000 satisfied clients, Fabish & Jackson has weathered the recent downturn alongside its farming customers. Steve says the company has streamlined its operations but remains committed to delivering quality work across multiple sectors. The company operates several specialist divisions from its purpose-built Inglewood facility including a laminated glulam beam division and a light engineering division. The octagonal structure features easy cleaning with no hard corners, a smaller building footprint than conventional buildings, and glulam timber roof structures that eliminate perches for birds. “A rotary platform dairy shed can cut down on labour in the milking shed and significantly free up farmers’ time for other things,” says Steve. He says that by manufacturing glulam beams, precast concrete panels and steelwork in-house, with all engineering completed on-site, allows Fabish & Jackson to maintain strict quality control and deliver projects on time and reduce weather-related delays. Fabish & Jackson’s agricultural portfolio also includes precision implement sheds, horse stables, chicken sheds, maize and silage bunkers and feed pads. However the company’s expertise extends well beyond the farm gate. Its concrete division specialises in foundations, mainly for the energy sector, while the laminated glulam beam and post division supplies retail outlets along with the company’s own building projects.
