| 97 nzdairy Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ON FARM » NZ Milking & Pumping “The milking and pumping industry is a vital and significant part of the dairy service industry. MPTA invests in training in order to continuously develop and improve the multi-sector specialist skills necessary for members to meet the expectations and needs of the dairy sector. Our core training is the Milking Machine Testing course which teaches technicians how a milking machine should be installed and how it should operate. Training includes fault diagnosis and the ability to give recommendations for maintenance and improvements for all brands of milking machinery. MPTA Registered Testers are specifically trained to provide an impartial test which meets the ISO standard of testing. The course provides the fundamental building blocks for carrying out a milking nachine test and allows the tester to test a standard milking machine using the methodology supplied.” MPTA Registered Testers are also trained to evaluate the cleaning dynamics of a milking machine to minimise risk of grades, and are audited every two years by an independent body. Other courses provided by MPTA include Mastitis, Milk Quality & Grade troubleshooting, Cleaning Evaluation & Milk Delivery, along with a suite of pumping and water related courses covering Small Drinking Water Supplies, Pump Selection, Farm Dairy Effluent Design & Farm Water Reticulation Design. MPTA also has a NZQA approved Dairy Systems (Engineering) Apprenticeship which includes specific strands in milking and in pumping / water. Over 200 apprentices have signed into the apprenticeship since it was launched in 2016. “The farmers milking machinery is one of their most valuable and by far the most vital piece of equipment on their farm. It is crucial that farmers ensure it is always working at its best, and our members can provide that level of confidence.” PERFECT PAIRING FOR ANY DAIRY FARM www.webbline.co.nz webblineltd @webblineagltd WAIKATO • MANAWATU • CANTERBURY • SOUTHLAND “The BvL makes a far more consistent mix compared to our previous machines; there are no dead spots around the doors that don’t get mixed.” – PAUL SCHERES, DAIRY FARMER WAIKATO “DIECI telehandlers are really operator-friendly, but one of the most impressive aspects is the great visibility, which makes it really easy to use, as well as being much safer.” – BRYCE HUNGER, DAIRY FARMER, TARANAKI BvL Mixer Wagons and DIECI Telehandlers available from your local Webbline Branch Gerry Clare BvL Product Specialist 021 245 4471 Tim Currie DIECI Product Specialist 021 221 5016
