embarked six years ago is the compliance aspect of building a preschool. Building a centre is now something not for the faint hearted and one question I have been asked is what advice do you have for someone who is thinking of building their first centre? Truly, DON’T. All jokes aside, the compliance hoops you currently need to jump through is just out of control and making it very challenging to start a centre from scratch. My motto as a centre owner is to only worry about what you are doing. There is no point focusing on what a centre down the road is doing, as you can’t control what they are doing but you can control what you are doing and what your preschools are providing. We believe that the key for success is to have a point of difference. Our main point of difference is our philosophy, Montessori with a Modern approach. Our educational philosophy focuses on providing children with a nurturing, selfdirected learning environment, which emphasises independence, freedom within limits, and hands-on learning experiences inside and outside.
