These investments enable OfficeMax to hold more stock and maintain high service levels to ECC members despite the continued global supply chain challenges resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic. ECC members on the South Island are now being supplied by OfficeMax’s new, purpose-built warehouse in the Christchurch suburb of Rolleston. The new facility is nearly twice the size of their previous warehouse in nearby Hornby. North Island ECC members are also seeing benefits from the major expansion to OfficeMax’s existing East Tamaki, Auckland warehouse and national head office. In addition to expanding the site by more than 40 percent, they installed a solar panel system that generates up to 1/3 of the site’s total power needs. Remember, a feature of the OfficeMax deal with the ECC is that they will match or better any price for an item they stock. June 2021 { 16 }
