NORTH & SOUTH: A TALE OF TWO HEMISPHERES By Sandra Morris Walker Books; RRP $29.00 Hardback North & South is a beautifully illustrated and informative book and was created by the author to incite a deeper fascination in children for the wonders of animal behaviour and the contrasting ways some of the world’s animals adapt to the changing seasons in their Northern and Southern Hemisphere homes and how our current rapidly changing climate conditions may be threatening the survival of each animal and their habitat. This is a book for young animal lovers, and although the book is text heavy, it’s one older pre-schoolers will enjoy as they pick and choose their favourite animals and pages from the detailed illustrations, gaining lots of interesting and often not well known facts along the way.
