Kapiti Coast building company Haarlem Build is bringing a unique community-focused housing project to life for people with and without intellectual disabilities, working together for a world where we all belong. The two inter connected three-bedroom houses on Te Aroha Way in Paraparaumu for L’Arche Kāpiti is scheduled for completion later this year. The design features a connecting door between the two homes, which can be opened to create a greater sense of community living. The project will expand the existing community which already comprises two homes on the site, an office, gardens and a third home a short drive away. Haarlem Build project manager Will Mowbray says a blessing ceremony at the beginning of construction revealed the profound importance of the development to its future residents. “That was a real eye opener regarding how valuable it will be to the L’Arche community. Everyone who attended was really excited about it and it gave us an understanding of how important it is,” says Will. “It’s a cool project to be involved in, giving back to the local community. Most of our staff are local builders and tradespeople that have grown up in the local area,” adds Nick Robbers, director of Haarlem Build. He says that Haarlem Build has demonstrated its commitment to the project by providing significant support during the design and WHAT WE DO: • New Roofs • Re-Roofing • Maintenance & Repairs • Membrane Roofing • Long Run Iron Roofing • Long Run Fencing • Colorsteel Cladding • Metal Tile Roofing • Roof Insulation DTM Roofing is proud to support Haarlem Build 0800 633 533 dtmroofingnz.co.nz dtmroofingnz@gmail.com Your local roofing and cladding experts working in Wellington, Kpiti Coast, Palmerston North & everywhere inbetween DTMRoofing
