Presidential Homes show home. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx It’s exciting times for Presidential Homes which is in the process of building a new factory to meet increasing demand for its range of houses. Manager Emily McEldowney says it is also exciting for their clients when they realise that what they thought was not possible – a new home – can be achievable and can usually be completed and delivered to site in just 12 weeks, including being ready to be connected to ground services. “We are all about making it a simple process for our clients. You can actually achieve a quality home, a dream home as such for an affordable price. We are very proud of what we do here, and it shows in our product,” Emily says. Presidential Homes is based in Palmerston North which, as the geographical hub of the lower North Island, provides easy road access over a wide radius. The company started about 30 years ago with a conventional business model, but 10 years ago the decision was made to change to a factory model producing prefabricated homes. Production started in a smaller factory before the present 3500 square metre facility, which has a total of about 60 staff and subcontractors, was built. The business typically has 23 to 25 homes in production at once. The new factory is being built directly across the street on Jasper Place and will cover 9000 square metres. It is expected to be completed in early 2024 and will allow for production capacity to be potentially doubled. Presidential Homes offers a variety of two, three and four bedroom homes and is very flexible with the design specifications, including the option of bespoke builds. “As long as we can get it to the site, we can pretty much do anything.” Designs are available with both gable and monopitch roofs and a variety of materials with all offering the warmth, efficiency and comfort of a contemporary family home, beach or lake house, or office or rental property at very competitive prices. People looking at the option of a Presidential Homes house can get “pretty excited about its ease and simplicity” when they understand the affordability and short delivery time frame, especially compared to the 12 months to 18 months for a conventional build, Emily says. ‘Build ready’ homes, three and four bedroom homes already manufactured and with the interiors finished, are also available depending on existing stock and these can be delivered in just four to six weeks. Clients who have purchased a Presential Home house have been pleasantly surprised at how simple and seamless the process is and this includes transport to the site being taken care of. “This process starts with an initial consultation and viewing of our homes. We discuss your visions whether it be a standard plan or having a house built from your own design. After deciding on specific options we provide a fixed price contract and get your project underway.” “We take care of all necessary documentation for building consent from councils. Then, we can get to work on your home. Every step of the process is closely monitored for quality purposes, so the finished result will be exactly what you wanted, and more.” “Our clients are welcome to come through at the various stages of the build to see the progress.” It is not only clients that love the factory-built process; it is also great for subcontractors who have certainty of workflow in a controlled environment. “Everyone is project managed well and it just means that they work from house to house at one location.” Proud Joinery Partner of Presidential Homes Hansens has been delivering Interior Joinery for Commercial, Residential, and Retail Clients for Over 60 Years.
