| 21 PFI Auckland Construction recently started on a greenfield site, which they have named Totara Creek Estate, and which is part of the wider Spedding Industrial Estate. REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT “Oyster Capital, the developer of the wider Spedding Industrial development, has invested heavily in the infrastructure, consolidating these 46 hectares of industrial land as a prime location at the top of Auckland’s Northwestern Motorway,” says Simon. Totara Creek Estate is only about 200 metres from the upgraded on-ramps, which allow travel either north or south. With the airport about 30 minutes away, and Auckland’s CBD around 20 minutes, depending on traffic, it’s an ideal place from which to service West or South Auckland, or the North Shore. Forecast figures for Auckland’s growth over the next 20 years put neighbouring areas, such as Kumeu, Riverhead and Whenuapai, at the forefront. “It’s growing out here, and this is the only industrial land that’s been zoned in the last five years, so it works on a numbers basis alone,” says Simon. “We’re across the road from Costco and Amazon, and a big CDC data centre owned by Infratil, another large New Zealand company.” PFI’s construction programme is projecting that the building will be ready for occupancy in Q2 2027, and PFI is actively engaging with potential tenants now. PFI welcomes expressions of interest from businesses looking for an opportunity to achieve an early entry into a 5 Green-Star (targeted) building in a part of Auckland that is ideally located to house best-in- class industrial facilities.
