Carrying years of experience in property development and civil construction prior to establishing Stonex Homes meant Parm brought a whole set of skills and experiences to the table. His goal from the beginning was to create a building company that clients could genuinely trust. “We have always focussed on craftsmanship, transparency and long-term relationships rather than volume.” Proof that Parm delivers capabilities and values sought by the market is evidenced by very strong growth. In its first year, Stonex Homes built six homes; today that number has been well and truly eclipsed, building 70 plus homes a year. We’re also proud of our long-term relationships with trusted subcontractors and suppliers who understand and uphold our standards.” There are ambitious plans to expand the operation further into the South Island, where the company already has projects underway in Central Otago and Queenstown. In Auckland we cover the South and East and I’m excited to see we’re going to expand projects into Central and West Auckland soon.” Most projects begin with land acquisition and development. Homes are offered ‘off the plans’ within Stonex Homes subdivisions. “We also take on private builds for clients who already own land and wish to construct homes based on their own designs. That combination allows us to serve a diverse range of homeowners, from first-time buyers to investors and families upgrading to a higher-spec lifestyle.” Parm acknowledges that the last two years have been particularly challenging for the construction sector, with rising materials costs, supply delays and tighter lending conditions. Despite this, he’s proud to say Stonex Homes has performed exceptionally well, maintaining consistent delivery and project flow. “We’ve achieved this through strategic planning and disciplined management.
