| 111 Platinum Homes Northland BUILDING Homes to suit a wide variety of clients In Kerikeri, half the homes built in The Lakes Drive development are Platinum Home residences, with a new show home coming up there. T T Sue Russell “We’re certainly not a cookie-cutter home builder. Following our needs analysis we’ll set to and start designing a home that meets our clients’ individual lifestyle and budget realities.” Adam Partridge understands the values and culture that underpin Platinum Homes, and it was these, he says, that really attracted him to take up the opportunity to lead the brand’s Northland business. “I was its construction manager in 2021, and then ended up taking it over. Platinum Homes operates like a big family where we all help each other,” Adam says. The brand has multiple licensees, operating mainly in the North Island, and a head office where robust business systems have evolved. Adam confidently says their homes’ standard specifications are higher than other building businesses. What you see, he says, is exactly what you get on every build. “When I price a project, I treat it as though it were my own home. When clients walk into one of our show homes they can see just how high the quality of our builds, fixtures and fittings and designs are.” A thorough needs analysis takes place to ground the design concepts, while Platinum Homes’ raft of home designs acts as a catalyst for further conversation. Adam stresses that each home is unique to its site situation and/or the specific situation of each client. “We’re certainly not a cookie-cutter home builder. Following our needs analysis we’ll set to and start designing a home that meets our clients’ individual lifestyle and budget realities.” He is also extremely proud of the quality of the company’s construction management audit systems, which he describes as second to none. Each system has a checklist of upward of 2000 points that are each signed off through the construction phase. Once a client has been guided through the design phase, the build-proper is then handed over to Adam, a licensed building practitioner and certified builder, to manage. “My passion is absolutely design-and-build quality. I’m the direct contact with the client throughout the entire build,” he says. While the market has been somewhat subdued in the last year or so, Adam says he’s pleased to see a definite upturn in enquiries since March this year. Platinum Homes Northland aligns itself with property developers creating new subdivisions in the region. Adam says a key strength in the business model is the quality of their long-term specialist contractors they engage on their builds “These are tradesmen with enormous skill and experience to bring into the project. We’re very fussy about who we engage as sub trades, and these are long-standing relationships, so they know us and that we expect the consistently high standard of their work.” In Kerikeri, half the homes built in The Lakes Drive development are Platinum Home residences, with a new show home coming up there. “We’ve been in our current show home here for three years, so we’re keen to put a new spin on design and our product offerings. It’s an exciting time for us as this new home begins to take shape.” Adam says he and the team at Platinum Homes Northland are always happy to talk with visitors to their show home at 17 The Lakes Drive. “It’s a great way to begin the conversation to better understand what’s important to them about their home and to showcase just what we’re capable of delivering.” Adam is keen to get back to Whangarei for a second show home, and design-and-build projects are taking place in Dargaville. However, it’s not all residential work the business gets involved in. Platinum Homes Northland was engaged by the trustees of Manukau Marae, near Herekino, 26km south-west of Kaitaia, to undertake an extension of the marae and also a commercial kitchen fit-out. “We’re also looking at a Women’s Refuge in Kaitaia, currently in the planning stage. We certainly try to involve ourselves in the community and meaningful community projects. This is something I’m especially keen to pursue further.” • Fascia and rainwater goods are a vital component of your new home - Continuous have perfected our trade with 30 years experience • We specialise in custom made bespoke rainwater products • Locally owned and operated • 10 year leak free guarantee For a FREE no obligation quote phone CONTINUOUS TODAY 0800 50 1993 | www.continuous.co.nz Proudly supporting Platinum Homes Northland
